QRaze
Last updated: 30 October 2026
This Privacy Notice explains how Jack Carter, a sole trader trading as QRaze, handles personal information when you visit qraze.co.uk, create or manage a QRaze profile, submit a form, subscribe or order a card.

1. Who we are
QRaze is operated by Jack Carter, a sole trader trading as QRaze.
Business address:
Unit 1, 44A Dudley Road
Eastbourne
BN22 8HE
Privacy contact: admin@qraze.co.uk
For data protection purposes, who is responsible for personal information can depend on the activity. QRaze is responsible for information it uses to operate accounts, profiles, subscriptions, orders and the platform. A profile owner is responsible for how they use information received through their profile.

2. Personal information we handle
Depending on how you use QRaze, this may include:

  • Account information, such as your name, email address, member ID and account details.

  • Profile information, such as names, business or personal details, contact information, descriptions, services, location, images, documents, menus and social links.

  • Subscription and order information, including plan status, card design details, QR and NFC destinations, delivery address and order status. Payment card details are handled through Wix’s payment services.

  • Information submitted through quote, enquiry or booking request forms, such as contact details, address, requested service, message, preferred contact method or requested date and time.

  • Communications and support information, such as messages you send to QRaze.

  • Profile interaction counts, such as clicks on phone, email, social, quote, enquiry and booking buttons.

  • Technical information that Wix or connected services may process, such as IP address, browser or device information, access times and security information.

Please only submit information that is relevant to your request. Do not include sensitive personal information in a form unless it is necessary. Information you choose to publish on a public profile may be visible to anyone and copied by others.

3. How we use personal information
We use personal information to:

  • Create and manage accounts and profiles, and review profiles and proposed changes.

  • Provide subscriptions, process card orders and arrange delivery.

  • Generate QR codes and configure cards using the destinations you provide.

  • Route quote, enquiry and booking request messages to the email address selected by a profile owner.

  • Provide customer support and respond to complaints and privacy requests.

  • Operate and secure QRaze, review content and prevent misuse.

  • Provide profile interaction counts to profile owners.

  • Meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations.

We currently send account, order and service messages needed to operate QRaze. We do not currently use customer information to send marketing emails.

4. Lawful bases
We rely on the following lawful bases, as applicable:

  • Contract: to create accounts and profiles, provide subscriptions, process card orders and route requested forms.

  • Legal obligation: to keep records required for tax, accounting or other legal requirements.

  • Legitimate interests: to operate and secure QRaze, review content, prevent abuse, respond to support requests and provide profile interaction counts. We consider and balance these interests against people’s rights.

  • Consent: for cookies and similar technologies where consent is required. You can change or withdraw cookie consent through the site’s Privacy Settings.

  •

5. Forms and profile owner responsibilities
When a visitor submits a quote, enquiry or booking request form, QRaze routes the information to the email address selected by the profile owner. QRaze does not intentionally save these submissions in its Profile CMS or a separate leads database.
Wix processes the information to deliver the email and may hold limited technical or operational records as part of that service. The profile owner receives the submission in their email account.
QRaze provides the form-routing service. The profile owner decides how to respond and is responsible for their subsequent use and retention of the information. Profile owners should provide their own privacy information where required and handle enquiries lawfully.
If you have a question about how a profile owner used information from your enquiry, contact that profile owner. You can also contact QRaze at admin@qraze.co.uk and we will direct your request appropriately.

6. Who receives or processes information
Depending on the service, information may be processed or shared with:

  • Wix, which hosts the website, accounts, CMS, media, store, checkout, email and automation services.

  • Wix payment services and the payment providers they use, to process payments.

  • The QR-code generation service used to create QR images. It receives the destination URL supplied for the QR code.

  • The profile owner whose QRaze page you used, when you submit a form.

  • Connected services such as Google Maps, Google Fonts or reCAPTCHA, where those services are enabled on the site.

  • Professional advisers, insurers, regulators or authorities where necessary or legally required.

Where QRaze processes information on behalf of a profile owner, appropriate data-processing terms will apply where required. Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where applicable, transfers are made using the safeguards and contractual arrangements used by the relevant provider. We do not sell personal information.

7. Profile interaction counts
QRaze’s dashboard includes its own profile interaction counts. These may count actions such as phone, email, social, quote, enquiry and booking clicks, and show totals to the relevant profile owner.
Based on the current setup, QRaze does not use a separate Google Analytics or advertising-pixel service for these dashboard counts. This does not describe cookies used by Wix or connected third-party services; see the Cookie Policy and Wix Privacy Settings for those.

8. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including legal, accounting, security and dispute-resolution needs. Our current retention approach is:

  • Account and profile information: while the account or profile is active. After account closure or profile removal, we aim to delete or anonymise it within 90 days where practicable, except for information we must retain.

  • Profile interaction counts: while the profile is active. We aim to delete or anonymise these within 90 days after profile removal, unless needed for a dispute or legal obligation.

  • Card orders, invoices and tax records: for the period required by law. HMRC generally requires self-employed tax records to be kept for at least five years after the 31 January filing deadline for the relevant tax year, and longer if an enquiry remains open.

  • Support, moderation and complaint messages: normally for up to 24 months after the issue is closed, unless needed for a legal claim or safety matter.

  • Security and technical logs: for a period proportionate to security and troubleshooting needs, then deleted or anonymised.

  • Quote and enquiry forms: QRaze does not intentionally save form submissions in its Profile CMS or a separate leads database. The profile owner receives the submission by email and controls retention in their mailbox. Wix may hold technical or operational records associated with email delivery.

  • Backups: deleted information may remain in protected backups for a limited period until those backups are rotated.

These periods are our intended criteria. Wix and other providers may have separate retention periods under their own policies and agreements.

9. Data protection fee
QRaze has not yet started trading. Based on the ICO’s “not yet trading” self-assessment, a data protection fee is not due yet. We will retake the assessment when QRaze starts trading. This does not change our responsibility to handle personal information appropriately. ICO self-assessment.

10. Your rights
Subject to the circumstances and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of personal information we hold about you.

  • Request correction of inaccurate information.

  • Request erasure or restriction of processing.

  • Object to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests.

  • Request a portable copy of information you provided, where applicable.

  • Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

To exercise a right, email admin@qraze.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity. If your request concerns information a profile owner received through a form, we may need to involve that profile owner.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

11. Cookies and similar technologies
QRaze and its connected services may use cookies and similar technologies for essential website functions, security and optional features. Our separate Cookie Policy and Wix Privacy Settings explain the current cookie choices and services. Optional cookies requiring consent should only be used after you give that consent.

12. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. Avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive information through ordinary online forms.

13. Children
QRaze is not specifically designed to collect children’s personal information. We do not knowingly collect children’s information for account creation. Do not submit information about a child through a QRaze form unless you are authorised to do so and the submission is appropriate.

14. Third-party websites and social media
QRaze profiles may link to third-party websites or social-media platforms. Once you leave QRaze, the third party’s privacy notice and terms apply. QRaze does not control or accept responsibility for third-party privacy practices, security or content.

15. Changes to this Privacy Notice
We may update this notice when QRaze’s services, technology, legal obligations or data practices change. The latest version will be published on the website with its revised date. Where appropriate, we will give additional notice of material changes.
